Arc of Onondaga is celebrating 70 years of supporting people with developmental disabilities and their families. Arc of Onondaga Direct Support Professional work with individuals with developmental disabilities in the community and in their homes, assisting them to achieve their fullest potential! Arc is currently offering up to a $500 sign-on bonus - depending on experience - for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work in our residential homes and community support programs including day habilitation, community habilitation, recreation and respite services, as well as shift differentials for those working in residential services. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to create positive, long-term impacts on the lives of the people they support by providing encouragement, mentoring and coaching to achieve their goals.

Arc of Onondaga is hiring for full-time, part-time and relief shifts. We have opportunities for day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts throughout Onondaga County.

Direct Support Professionals are responsible for providing support, guidance and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities served by Arc of Onondaga. This position is also responsible for providing hands-on assistance, instruction, and guidance, while implementing individuals' plans, goals, and objectives to attain independence and integration in the community.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid NYS driver's license acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier. Experience working in human services in preferred but not required. Paid training is provided to all staff.
