Summary

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for the Trailblazers program. Responsibilities include maintaining systems, information and computer databases and files for financial and administrative management information throughout the Trailblazers program. Tasks are accomplished by utilizing effective communication skills and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times when interacting with employees, families and the people we support. 

Requirements

  1. Provides clerical support as assigned for Community Supports Manager and Community Supports Assistant Manager.
  2. Utilizes effective interpersonal skills in fulfilling customer service requirements for people and their families, staff, volunteers and external constituents (customers, regulatory agencies, vendors, etc.).
  3. Performs assignments such as phone and receptionist coverage, document production, computer inputting, filing, handling mail, meeting minutes, petty cash reimbursement and audits, Medicaid transportation documentation, maintenance monitoring of agency vehicles, purging.
  4. Supports the Goals and Mission of Arc of Onondaga. Ensures that communications and personal performance reflect the Agency's commitment to teamwork, compliance with policies and procedures and respect for people.
  5. Attends and participates in required Agency, program and/or department meetings, staff development and training programs.
  6. Establishes and provides clear and legible documentation and compliance records required by Arc and other government agencies.
  7. Travels on occasion for program related tasks.
  8. Conducts all agency business and complete job responsibilities in accordance with agency Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Plan.
  9. Provides other job-related support and services as required or assigned by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Related administrative experience preferred.
  • Combination of education and experience which, in the judgement of the employer, equals above standards.
  • Administrative and communications skills to fulfill position requirements.
  • Valid NYS driver's license.
  • Reliable personal vehicle for travel.
